Last night, CNBC had a real fight break out over their respective reporting skills. The fight is between Charlie Gasparino, at the top left of the little boxes, and Steve Liesman, at the bottom of the little boxes. Gasperino thinks that the recently released stress test results are a joke, since the tests were not that dififcult, and Liesman challenges him on what exactly was easy about them. Then the accusations of poor reporting break out. I was watching this live and thought it was some of the most entertaining back and forth on the economy I've seen on that channel in months. Keep in mind that Gasperino and Liesman are colleagues -- they are both reporters for CNBC. They aren't just independent analysts brought in to fight with each other. The fighting starts at about the 1:30 mark. Watch here:
Favorite quotes:
Gasperino: "Steve, I'm not being interviewed by you."
Gasperino: "I think you should do some reporting tomorrow, maybe you could find out before me."
Liesman: "You're the one who failed to ask the questions of the people you talked to."
Gasperino: "What are you sayin? You're not the host, Larry is."
